About

Jordan is the Chief Heritage Officer with the PKKP Aboriginal Corporation and an adjunct lecturer in the College of Human Sciences and Culture at Flinders University. Jordan is an expert in native title and heritage management agreement-making in the resources sector, having pioneered the concept of co-management alongside the Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura people and colleagues. He completed his PhD in archaeology at Flinders University in 2020, examining how government policy shapes identity and daily life through material culture in Barunga, Northern Territory. His research analyses how communities acquire, use, and discard objects over time to understand social change. He has a long-standing collaboration with Jawoyn communities, conducting annual fieldwork since 2010. Jordan is also the President of the World Archaeological Congress.
